Years ’90 – 2000: Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, but everything is transformed

"Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, but everything is transformed", the famous phrase of Lavoisier, despite being dated to the second half of the 18th century, is confirmed as very current: fashion is approaching an ideal of "subjective" perfection and repeats over time: it is one, as the ancient Greeks would say it is “èn tò pán”, “everything is one”, that is, everything is reduced to a single fundamental principle, which encompasses everything. The circularity of time is the return, which is a symbol of perfection because, having no corners, it transcends limits, and regenerates itself by feeding on itself.
This is how the years from 2000 onwards were experienced in the fashion world, while the 90s are the scenario in which "the present" has placed its roots: we note some contradictions, such as extremely oversized garments alternating with other super stretch ones , apparently opposite but both linked by the desire for comfort mixed with the desire to discover oneself. Crop tops are born, strictly combined with piercings! Various icons have walked the catwalks of the last decade of the 1900s, remaining imprinted in the history of fashion of the time, while remaining very topical: Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Shiffer ...
The Supermodels!

In the early 2000s I was 8/9 years old ... and I remember with a certain nostalgia a pair of jeans with a very low waist that I tried to lower even more ... but on time my mother tried to compensate by pulling my shirt down more than due ...
Anecdotes aside, we have achieved a freedom of thought such that everyone feels the creator of their own style ... perfection is no longer an objective fact, it is not represented by precise measurements or cuts. It is a subjective question, in fact, and when it is dictated by imposed canons, it bored: the woman is finally convinced that perfection always resides a step away from perfection ...
